Coaching Staffs
Varsity Boys
Will Tabor- Will was one of two coaches who came to the
club last year. He is a very experienced coach and has
done great things with the team. Under his leadership, the
2008 varsity team had their best record to date.
Varsity Girls
Bert Moeller- Bert is one of the most experienced
coaches in youth rugby and the club is extremely lucky to
have him involved with the club. Last year, he took the
reins of a team without direction at season mid way and
led them to a successful playoff season.
Junior Varsity Boys
Kameron Moeller- Kameron is joining the ranks of
phantoms players who graduate and continue involvement
through coaching. As the backs coach with representative
experience, they will be a force to reckon with.
Steven Paz- A career phantom, Steve has been coaching
since he graduated high school. In 2007, he helped the
U14s to a very successful season and hopes to again
coach the same players to another great year.
U-14
Greg Horton- Greg is a great example of parental
involvement. A perenial volunteer, when the opprotunity to
coach a team opened, he jumped at the chance.
Scott Tibbs- Scott has been involved with the club for the
last two years. His son has been coached by C.J. Marin
prior to their rugby involvement.
U-12
Mario Rey- After being an assistant in this division last
season, coach Rey fully believes that he has a strategy to
win games this season, and everyone believes this squad
will do great things this year.
Rich Lopez- Also a former assistant, Rich will be mostly
the fitness coordinator for the team.
Steven Paz- After spending 2 seasons as the starting
Prop on the phantoms varsity squad, and coaching the
forwards in the Rookie division last year, coach Paz
decided to drop a division to help coach his younger
brother.
U-8
Steve Jones- Steve is entering his first year coaching
with the phantoms. However, he has had a very successful
coaching career with the Fullerton Lions, coaching their
varsity team last year. Steve also has coaching experience
with the OC bucks mens club based in garden grove.
